Infected by rhythms and music people were dancing and singing in the very crowded bar. NLGX was proud to have sponsored and outfitted all the artists of SambAsia with some NLGX graphic T’s. This month, we are proud to feature Christophe Lier from Paris, France. Christophe is a music educator, jazz pianist and composer. He draws his inspiration for artistic creation from within dreams and the waking perceptions of his left sided brain. Christophe also plays the keyboard for the “New Photon Jazz Trio”, who performed at the Street Festival last weekend at NLGX. 

All works are original and are available for purchase, so come by and check them out!

Given the last minute cancellations from the last two planned festivals, be sure to keep updated on our blog as we’ll give you the latest on both on the festival and other activities going on around NLGX and Nanluoguxiang. As of right now, we plan on having some special guests in for live music performances on next Saturday and Sunday afternoon so stay tuned!

Amidst the crazy summer and Olympics period, we have launched our latest collection of Beijing-inspired t-shirts with fresh, new colors and designs that pay tribute to the city and the people who built it. Included in our new designs are our tributes to Beijing’s working class with original-designed graphics of the “sanlunche”, the “bag of life”, and the camouflage uniforms worn by bicycle fixers and construction workers. We also commemorate the “kuazi”, or sidecar motorcycle, a Beijing specialty that is disappearing from the streets each year. We have also re-released several designs from our original collection, with black and dark grey Bu chai’s, a grass green Beijing Bicycle, a red China Chick, and green and red versions of the Chinese Roof!
